The content published
on our web site is copyrighted material. With the exception of certain
academic users and with the exception this page, prior permission
is needed to copy material from our site to use on other web sites
or for any type of printed or electronic publication. If you are
the Webmaster or producer of a website and wish to include content
from our site, you may do this by providing links to our pages.
We encourage you to use this method. You do not need permission
to link to us.
We encourage students
and teachers to use our materials for academic purposes. You may
reproduce our materials for use within academic coursework as long
as proper citations are made. In printed materials, each section
should clearly identify the source of the material as: SearchEngines.com.
In online course materials the citation should be in the form of
a link to the URL (webpage). Students please note: Your academic
institution may have additional specific guidelines for properly
citing Internet source materials.
Various International
agreements as well as copyright laws of many nations provide for
Fair Use Uses of Copyrighted Works. This typically applies to: quotations
used by journalists, nonprofit educational and research purposes
or in the pursuit of personal and noncommercial knowledge discovery.
When copyrighted content is used within the bounds of Fair Use practices
and is included on websites or duplicated in print or electronic
media, generally no more than 10% of the textual content of any
one page may be used. In all cases, proper citation of the source
is required.

Caching or storing a
copy of a webpage on a local computer can make browsing more efficient
especially with dialup connections. Internet Service Providers (ISPs),
Applications Service Provider (ASPs) and mirror sites utilize caching
to reduce resources and speed up the global Internet experience.
Caching for purposes of improved performance is allowed without
permission. Storage, reproduction and publication of webpages for
the purposes of “framing” content to ‘pass it
off as your own content’ or to add advertising is strictly
prohibited.
The textual content
of this copyright notice page may be freely used on other web sites
or for use in printed or electronic publications; permission is
not required. Webmasters and producers of Internet content: If your
site has content with educational value, you may wish to provide
a similar copyright permission for students and teachers for use
related to coursework since it can be quite cumbersome for both
parties to handle prior permissions. This method can be very beneficial.
N.B.: Please consider
whether there are any special circumstances that may make any of
these copyright permissions inappropriate for your organization,
institution or within your jurisdiction.
